Carin Butler
Master of Social Work
My name is Carin Butler and I am a graduate of Florida State University in 2017 and Columbia University School of Social Work in 2020. My internship, which included mental health counseling for those with neurological injuries, was completed at the TMH Neurological Rehabilitation clinic and I began my journey helping those with disabilities. For the past eight years, I have worked for the FSU Autism Institute counseling parents of children with autism, as well as contributing to research, working with parents on intervention strategies, and conducting diagnostic assessments.
I am a lifelong resident of Tallahassee and I appreciate our rich and diverse community. I have been involved with several non-profit organizations, serving on boards, and volunteering for fundraisers and events. I am a firm believer that it is important to participate and give back to the community in which you live.
I am looking forward to expanding my scope in social work practice by working with a variety of populations and creating an environment of compassion, empathy, purpose, and healing. Modalities that I practice include Mindfulness, CBT, EMDR, and Motivational Interviewing. A person-centered, collaborative approach is something I strive for with my clients.
