Do you accept insurance?

My office is in network with Cigna, Optum|United Behavioral Health, Aetna, Medicare Part B. However, will gladly accept patients with out of network insurances. We are not able to file insurance claims for out of network insurances, if the patient would like to file an insurance claim themself I can provide the necessary information.
As a courtesy, we will file claims to in network insurances only for the patient. The office will not obtain prior authorizations for office visits.
Any co-pays are due on the date of service. The complete fee for service is due on the date of service for patients with out of network insurances. Please note that payment on patient accounts is patient responsibility regardless of insurance coverage.
We accept cash, checks, and credit/debit cards with the Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express logo.

We offer both in-person therapy and counseling virtually using a HIPAA compliant platform

How do I schedule an appointment?

Call 850-290-2211 or complete the "New Client Form" online. We will verify your insurance benefits and respond by telephone or email within 24-48 hours

I have an appointment, now what?

Complete your new patient paperwork.

Prior to your appointment you will receive an email with a link to the electronic health records Simple Practice. The Simple Practice Client Portal is a secure and easy way for you to communicate with your clinician, request appointments, sign documents, and even pay your appointment fees.

The first time that you log in to the Client Portal, click the link found in the welcome email you received from your clinician. Clicking the link will open a new tab in your browser where you’ll automatically get logged in.

If using insurance, you will get an email invite from Headway to get your insurance and payment information entered and acknowledge their standard forms.

What can I expect from my first therapy session?

Your first session with the therapist will be different from future visits. The initial visit is a period for you and your therapist to get to know each other and get an idea of how to proceed. Future visits will be more therapeutic in nature.

For example, in your second session, you may explore a specific symptom, problem, or past trauma you mentioned in the first session. Keep in mind that psychotherapy usually requires multiple visits, so don't expect any instant solutions to your problems the first day. Therapy is about equipping you with life-long solutions and not a quick fix.

What is the cancelation policy?

Client have 24 hours prior to their appointment to cancel via text, voice reminders, or the Client Portal to avoid penalty.

What services do you offer?

We offer talk therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing, ketamine assisted psychotherapy, relational therapy, gestalt therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy.

What if I don't "fit" with my clinician?

That happens! Please feel free to express that to your clinician or call Kristi, the owner of Damron Counseling and we will place you with the therapist of your choice.
